This beautiful oak flooring has typical oak figure, mostly straight grained with a coarse texture and occasional quarter sawn markings. The colour varies from pale to light red-brown with an overall pink hue. Red Oak timber is tough, hard & heavy and the floors wear well. Unlike White Oak, Red Oak tends not to change colour with time.
The red oak tree gets its name because of the colour of the leaves in Autumn.
